The initial step to restoration of mold is to remove the cause of the problem, the water that created the mold in the initial place. Before starting your work, make sure you put on the proper safety equipment, including rubber gloves, a mask as well as goggles.
Remove the mold from any surfaces inside your home. There is a variety of store-bought detergent, or you can make your own by using white vinegar, diluted bleach or ammonia. Be careful when working with harmful chemicals. Do not mix ammonia and bleach with any other cleaning products.
Use a bleach solution and water or TSP to eliminate any growth of mold on your outside. Clean the area with either a pressure washer, or hose.
Last but not least, get rid of all clothes rags that you used to clean or wash the clothes you are wearing, in a separate load of laundry.
